Excellent Daily Driver for Touring
Bought these for day to day ski guiding and personal ski touring in Colorado in the San Juans and RMNP. I mounted these with Dynafit Superlight 150's on the tech binding line. These skis have been great daily drivers for me. I reach for them over other skis daily because they're predictable, and handle a large variety of conditions well. I've skied everything from breaker crust, to steep couloirs with these and they've managed it all well. For the deepest conditions they're a little short and narrow, for the firmest conditions they're a little wide, but with that said, they handle the largest swatch of conditions of any ski I've owned. Highly recommend for comfortable and fun ski touring. I'm 6'0 175lbs, usually ski 184ish skis in this width. I went with the 181 and they've been great, though I'd like to experiment with mounting them back on the alpine line for better high speed stability compared to the tech line.

Best bag for your buck skis
I recently purchased these skis after a long debate of what mid fat ski to purchase. I cannot explain how happy I am with my purchase and now have a new favorite pair of skis in my quiver. With the perfect amount of tail rocker, camber, and early rise, these skis absolutely crush so many different ski conditions. I would purchase these ten times over and believe there is not a better mid fat ski for the price on the market.

The skis for me.
I really couldnt ask for anything more in a ski. I will not be skinning with these but I do boot it. I may be wrong but these seem to be a prototype for a future qst 106. They are softer as much as they are lighter. Im not a hard charger but they handled everything with ease and seemed to show me lines i wouldnt see otherwise. Hard pack, crap, 12" powder, tree turns, yup.

Salomon QST echo
Amazing skis! This is my favorite BC setup and feels almost as sturdy as a dedicated resort ski.

Super backcountry/sidecountry,resort POW ski!
When I first skied the ECHO 106 I was blown away with how it skied on firm snow...I know, weird for a ski designed to be a bit softer for lighter, deeper snow. When I did get into the softer deeper snow I realized just how special this ski is. It is super damp and has an incredible flex pattern to float in deeper snow and its able to absorb the bumps in the crud. What really makes this ski, IMO, is how light it is for uphill travel! Nothing like Salomon, once again, giving an already great ski (QST 106) a twin brother that is better in other conditions. Highly recommend!

Friendly QST 106
I have using QST 106 for long time. Echo has exact same shape but different stiffness and weight. If you like qst 106 but prefer more lighter or softer one, that’s for you! Highly recommend!

Super happy
I ride the QST Lux earlier version and guardian binding. So I really felt the weight difference and was super happy with the feeling on pow turns. It’s time to change the skies. :)

Best lightweight skis I've ever owned
I've got some days on these now and loved them right away.. These are the lightest skis I've ever owned and they ski amazing and not just for their weight category.. So far I've skied about every kind of snow except for deep pow and they ski everything great. light and nimble but able handle speed. Really stoked on these!

The touring skis Ive been waiting for!
The QST Echos are exactly what I've been wanting for years -- a lightweight ski that is easy to push uphill, and far more efficient feeling compared to its partners on the QST line. Yet, it floats and skis great. I have yet to ski any variable snow, but it has been such a fun ski to have on our deep Colorado winter. I haven't touched another set of skis since I got the Echos. Highly recommend!

Just a great all around ski
The phrase “quiver of one” gets thrown around a lot. Well, the phrase is apt for the Echo. If you can only have one pair of touring skis, these would do a better job than most. They’re light enough for most days, they’re far more damp than other skis in this weight class and they’re just fun to ski. Powder? Corn? Great! Windboard? Well, that’s not fun but they manage as well as any other ski? You could even set these up as a resort ski and have a blast. Just a super versatile, great skiing pair of planks. Get some!
