Looking for a lightweight, weather resistant Mitt for 'ambitious rambling' look no further. We do walk the fells but could be known as fair weather roamers!

Mrs Carolyn Marshall

I received my Rab Pertex Quantum Mitts for Christmas 2019. I hardly wore them at the start of 2020 as the weather was relatively mild. Despite the few occasions I did wear them I had to stitch a seam on the left hand mit that had split. This winter I’ve worn them quite a lot so far and I’m disappointed that the right hand mit has split across the back seam and the left one has also ripped. I only use them for walking and I would expect these relatively expensive and reputable brand mitts to be more robust.

They are well made to

They are well made to the usual Rab standard. Bought for hiking. They are ok but, (as some other reviewers have said), I was expecting them to be warmer. To be fair, the description on the website suggests they are probably best used for short periods, which sounds right. These are not all day mitts; for that, you need to go up the Rab range.

Took it to the top

Took it to the top of Cotopaxi as an extra layer to wear over my shell gloves. It was perfect. Nice and warm. Although, I haven't had the chance to test its waterproofing.

Versatile, light, warm,

Use these in -5 - -15 Cel. for around the town, biking, trail running. Unique to have a packable, lofting mit. Warmth to weight and size ratio stands out. I haven't seen a similar ultralight mit. Will definitely use them while hiking/skiing in spring/fall conditions as an emergency option. Like the longer length, pull on tab, and clips that attach them together. Would buy again.
