I absolutely LOVE this jacket. In the northwest I wear it almost all year round, from cold and snowy days in the mountains to the chilly June days when for some reason you just can't get warm. This jacket keeps me warm in moderate wind and holds up to snow and moderate rain. It folds into a pocket so I can use it as a pillow when I travel if I really want to. I am a medium in most jackets and have a medium of this - I can fit one mid-sized layer with it, but I definitely wouldn't try to get a big fleece under it. To be fair, it keeps me so warm I would never want to put a big fleece under it. The only "downside" would be that it truly puffs up in the wind and makes me look like a marshmallow, but I do not care how I look as long as I'm warm!!
