Why We Like The Outdoor Research Foray Super Stretch Jacket
Whether it's a day hike or a multi-day excursion, we're packing along the Outdoor Research Foray Super Stretch Jacket, because we know the mountain doesn't abide by the weather forecast. Built with GORE-TEX PACLITE tech, this layer takes up minimal space in our pack while offering us optimal protection when gray clouds roll through. The seam-sealed, 2-layer construction shuts out moisture and winds yet lets our own vapor escape, keeping us comfortably dry, while the stretchy waterproof back panel ensures our range of motion isn't hindered. When we start collecting elevation, we open the side zippers to turn up the air, and when the rain seems to be falling upward, we cinch the hem and cuffs closed to make sure droplets don't sneak inside.

Works perfectly
Recently purchased the OR Foray Super Stretch Jacket and must say I am very impressed. It is lightweight, fits great and, most importantly is very water proof. Used it on a trip to Scotland where it rained on and off every day. Layered it over multiple puffy and stayed dry and it was also breathable. Another great feature was that it was not crunchy (ie noisy) like some other fully waterproof jackets I tried. Would highly recommend this jacket.

Side zippers are annoying
There's no snap to prevent the side zippers from constantly going up and leaving you exposed. Everytime I bend down I have to zip them back down. Really annoying and could have been prevented very easily

Favorite Rain Jacket
I love this rain jacket! I love the way that it stretches and it fits very well. It is a little tight in the chest for me and because of this I needed to size up so that I could layer underneath. If I was not layering underneath my normal jacket size would work great. I normally wear a size Large, but purchased a Xtra-large and I am very happy with it. I recommend that if you are interested in the Super Stretch to go to a local store and try it on. You'll be happy that you did. This is a great product.

Better but could be even better still
Always like OR waterproof jackets. This one is great. The main problem I had was the size. The Large worked fine if it was over a sweater or vest but not a coat (too snug). Extra large get caught in my car door. Great jacket otherwise.

Kept dry in English Winter.
I bought this for a trip to England in the Winter. The jacket was perfect for keeping the drizzle and wind out. I am 5'10" 170lbs and I got the medium jacket. This worked out great to wear a fleece underneath for warmth. The jacket itself doesn't provide much heat insulation. This was not as packable as some rain jackets I've had but it is not bulky by any means. The material seems much more durable than those more packable jackets. When the sun did come out, I was able to shake it off and fit this in my backpack without issue. It kept me dry walking around England in the constant rain and I'm looking forward to using it for some more outdoor adventures come Spring and Summer.

Excellent jacket
Wore this in a strong, wet, powerful snowstorm here in Colorado. Was out all day in it while guiding snowmobile tours. Kept me totally dry. I thought the stretch might be a gimmick but it does everything it claims

Men's Foray Super Stretch Jacket.
The jacket runs small in a XL (which is why I gave it a 4) so I had to return it and get XXL which fits tons better. But it is a great coat, keeps me dry. The 'stretch' is not a lot/ very little. It's more of a gortex coat. The customer service I had was phenomenal through OR.

Men's Foray Super Stretch is Super
I purchased the Foray Super Stretch jacket to replace my existing rain jacket and to act as a waterproof shell while layering. I have been incredibly happy with its protection from the elements as well as its breathability. I recently used it while on a multi-day hike that started with several inches of snow and temps dropping to 15 degrees. I stayed dry and warm the entire time with only an OR Vigor Fleece as my intermediate layer. The jacket is extremely comfortable and the extra stretch allows for movement and comfort. I would definitely recommend this.

Almost
Almost perfect. But why have a different color stretch panel? Someone over thought it. Black works for me. That whitish color jacket is awesome (if the panel wasn't black )

Awesome Rain Jacket
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Lightweight and stretchy. Keeps you dry and looks good. Heat vents on the side are nice to have.
