NEMO's Moonlite Elite Reclining Camp Chair is the ultralight, ultra-packable backpacking chair we've always wanted. The Moonlite only weighs 1lb 2oz and packs down small, so we don't have to sacrifice pack weight or pack room to pack along a camp chair for backcountry comfort. The straps blend high tenacity polypropylene and Dyneema for an ultralight yet durable system to adjust our seating angle from upright to reclining positions, and the aluminum frame provides maximum support at a minimum weight to support hikers and campers up to 250 pounds. This chair also features a unique carrying case that double as stability platform that prevents the chair from sinking into sandy beaches and campsites.

This chair is near perfect
It’s light, easy to take anywhere. Though i wouldn’t take it backpacking cause, i can’t spare the extra pound. It does not really need the extra wrap or the wraps double use as holding the legs secure. Take it to every pickleball court i go to and sit comfortably throughout the day. By the way, this is comfortable! Really comfortable and not hard to get in or out of. Love it. Now just make it 8 oz. And i will take it backpacking!

Might Be the Best Backpacking Chair
I have only used this chair a few times so far. You might say with a title like that, why only 4 stars. I just don't find it as comfortable as the old model I had tried out from a friend. That said, there are a lot of pros to this chair that I love. You can't beat the weight (it is great), it can be used on any surface using the mesh base, gets you off the ground, and IT ADJUSTS!! That to me was the deciding feature to get this chair. Most backpacking chairs are fixed in a leaning manner. I am getting old and don't always want to lean (especially when eating). It is nice to be able to adjust it in a more upright position but have the option to lean back, put my feet up, and take a nap (told you I am getting old).

Worth its weight every trip
Love this chair for every back packing trip! It weighs next to nothing, drys out fast if I want to sit in the creek, and is comfortable for reclining and putting my hankies up after a long hike. Also, we take this on our car camping trips for our kido and she loves it! Thanks guys! Love your products!

This chair is great, it’s so small and light that sometimes I just leave it in my bike bag and forget about it.(I commute via bicycle)

Nemo quality in an ultralight form factor
I was in the market for an ultralight chair I could carry with me backpacking. I originally tried the Moonlite before and while I liked it, it was not competitive in the weight dept. vs. other competitors. Then, by a stroke of luck, Nemo released the elite version of the Moonlite and I quickly made the purchase. Let me tell you I did not regret it. The chair is very comfortable for my 5'7 150lb frame. It's light, packs down pretty small and flat into itself, and takes up no room in my pack. Lastly, it has the option to recline some (a feature I didn't think I would enjoy as much as I do). I've taken it out on 3 trips so far and besides a little dust (which washed out easily) still looks brand new.

I carry this thing EVERYWHERE!!!
As a guide, I’m outdoors pretty much every day. The size/weight/comfort ratio is perfect. Stores in anything, glovebox, backpack, or boat box. I have the camo version, and it’s great for dove hunts. My advice is to try it before buying, but I’ve let friends of almost all sizes sit in it and most of them either order it right then or want to buy it. Great for ALL activities.

Headed in the right direction!
I bought this chair as I am a 5'10" woman, 180 pounds and loved my Alite Monarch chair for comfort but they don't make it any more. The Helinox chair, otherwise great for tall people, has pressure points on my outer hips that are seriously uncomfortable after a long hike day. I was excited for this model as its sling looked promising for avoiding that and it did. However the seat posts and edge are a little more upward rather than outward facing and pushed into the thighs of not only me but more petite friends as well. This was regardless of seat back position, which does change the geometry of the front seat experience. That said the construction feels solid, the seat material is gorgeous and comfortable, the reclining function worked well, though most preferred it in upright position. I could not imagine taking the footprint on a backpack trip but loved that they made this their packaging and could see it being nice for a beach trip. The chair is rated for 250 lbs but I can't imagine a 250 lb body fitting into it. So NEMO - can you take this to the next level and be the first in class to make a chair that is comfortable for women with hips or folks larger than me? #everyoneoutdoors Keep making this more awesome!

Moonlight Elite, super lightweight and tough
I bought the Moonlight Elite for festival season here in New Orleans and it has been great so far! It’s surprisingly comfortable compared to other brands that aren’t even close to its weight. Ultimately I bought this chair for motorcycle trips to keep my packed weight down so I could afford other luxuries like a more robust kitchen but it would be great for paddling trips on rivers with sandy beaches. The footprint carrying case is brilliant and kept me sitting upright while others were sinking into the sandy ground where I was at the festival. Super comfy in a lightweight kit.
