Weird design. Very slim. High crotch.

Stretch in the legs but not the waist. Integrated belt doesn't hold tight. Sizing is literal. "33 regular" waist measures 16-1/2 inches flat so 33". Crotch is 2 inches higher than other MH pants I own. "Skinny jeans" kind of fit. Not for me.

Gotta get ‘em all.
I have all 4 colors of these pants. This was the last one and was waiting for it to go on sale.

Disappointed cause half way there?
I would love these pant if the button stayed snapped, and the waist tensioning system stayed adjusted. Neither work, so I can really only wear them when I am wearing a harness too. They fit me well. The material looks and feels great. Great colors . . . but I cant wear nearly as much as I would without the flaws. Below asked about quality. I'm not sure if my experience is due to design or quality/defect issues. If these were a competitor I'd exchange, and that competitor offers pant that stay closed and holds their adjustment.

My favorite pant of all time
If I could wear only one pant for the rest of my life, it would be this one. They fit great, have plenty of stretch for freedom of movement but aren't overly baggy, are somehow still super durable and light-weight at the same time, nice deep front pockets... they're the perfect pant for a day at the crag, and then a bite at the brewery afterward.

Great multi-purpose pants
This pants is good for walking in the city as well as hiking. I love the style and the material. I do wish that MH would add belt loops to this pants. The built in one would eventually get loosened.

Moderately okay pants.
Nice pants and the fabric breathes fairly well, but the waist tightener slips and doesn't hold the pants up as well as it was designed to.

Only pair of pants
Pretty much wake up and throw these on. Comfy, rugged, and look great. Pockets in the right spots

Fabric Pills
The chockstone fabric has taken a dive in my opinion. And Mountain Hardwear is GREAT about warranty and has allowed returns even after use. So the service is 5-star, but the pants (and shorts) are a 2-star in my books. Good fit and features, yes, but let down by the newer fabric choice. My older chockstones were burlier and have lasted extremely well. So I bought more. But the new fabric is thinner and pills. I've returned both the pants and shorts in this model.

Darn close to just right!
I'm always looking for a pair of hiking/backpacking pants that works for me. I tried these because they have no belt loops. Belt loops are a problem for me with backpack hip belts when the load is heavier. Obviously, unless the waist is a stretchy/bunchy configuration your pants will ride down eventually from the movement of the hip belt. Some shorts are great for this but if you want to wear pants (think bugs and weather) then you're stuck with some sort of sweatpants thing. Anyway, that's my reasoning to get these. They are basically a lightweight softshell and remind me of many other brands. I like the fit on these-- so many others are skinny jean style. Very comfortable so far on day hikes with different packs as well as some lake kayaking. So I trust them to work for something more extended. They already have a little pilling happening near the inner knee so I would wash these less often (you don't need to wash pants that often). The built in belt is kind of weak so you have to cinch it periodically. The snap closure always unsnaps when I undo the fly. So that's weak as well. They might be on the warm side for really hot environments. They dry very quickly and pack up nice for travel pants. The front pockets are generous and can fit a phone or other things and access them while hiking. No need for a cargo pocket! Overall, I like them and will see how durable they are for the price.
