Why We Like The Canyon Long-Sleeve Shirt

You can wear the Mountain Hardwear Women's Canyon Long-Sleeve Shirt when you're exploring slot canyons in the San Rafael Swell during the day and then go straight to the brewery for a well-earned pint afterwards. If you skimped on sunscreen, flip up the collar to avoid the overused, but possibly deserved, moniker of redneck.

Comfortable, practical, and nice looking!

I am very impressed with this shirt. The design is thought out for comfort under hot conditions. Also nice looking too!

Disappointed

Looks great and has sun protection, but material doesn't breathe well and feels tight when I swing my arms while walking

The shoulders are too tight to work in this shirt. The sleeves are also a bit short. Overall it is a well made shirt with a weird cut to it. Might work for some really narrow shouldered folks

No stretch!

Beautiful shirt, but runs a bit small. I would give it 5 stars if it had some stretch!

Great blouse

Size Bought:
Small

I love the color, I wouldn’t normally pick a rose color, but it’s really pretty. I bought a small, fits perfect. It’s so comfy. The only thing is, after washing and drying the wrinkles were hard to get out even after using an iron on low settings.

Sun protection

This is a great light weight shirt for gardening, hiking or on the river. The sleeves are adjustable and canroll up, the collar protects my neck and it’s a quick dry. The pockets are a good feature. It runs true to size if anything it’s a slim fit, and for a smaller frame. The only negative is after the washer/ dryer it sometimes looks like it might need to remove a wrinkle or two. I’ve ordered this shirt over and over again.

Too tight across the shoulders

I bought this for gardening. I have a very old MH shirt I love; this is the closest style, but it’s way too tight across the shoulders. Gave it to a friend.

Sizing

Material and quality seems great even the features. The style is nice too. I agree with what other people say about the sizing. I’m a small person 5 ft 1in and 115 lbs and I got a small. It works for me but if I wasn’t that small it def would’ve been tight around the shoulders and lats. The lower part of the shirt is huge though. Made for a huge beer gut or perhaps if I was pregnant idk. I do love the color of dusted sky and will most likely be wearing this a lot with a sports bra under and unbuttoned to prevent my arms from getting sun burned.

Has anyone at MHW ever seen a woman before?

If Mountain Hardware is only going to design clothing for men and women with absolutely no female curves I wish they would be more up front about it. I typically wear a medium in just about everything and I was so excited to get this shirt to protect me from the sun while hiking, walking, or doing anything outside really. When I got this shirt as a gift I was shocked it was a large and it STILL fit snug in the shoulders. I have very narrow shoulders and mediums and smalls often do not fit me in the shoulder but this large fit very snugly. I wore this shirt to play volleyball with some friends and left it unbuttoned so it wouldn't restrict my movement. The first time I served the back split open like the Hulk and left a rip in the mesh fabric. I was so disappointed and honestly shocked that it ripped so easily. Mountain Hardware is such a great brand but if they are only going to cater to a very narrow idea of what a woman's size is I will definitely be spending my money elsewhere. All that being said, the shirt did protect me from the sun which is why I gave it two stars instead of one.
