Weird materials

The jacket seems to be well made with all features you can wish for, but the materials are plain weird: not only they are ridiculously fragile and get scratched unusually quickly, they also look very dark (black). when wet, see the picture. I returned it for credit, even though I feel that the item is defective and I should have been given a refund... This is why I tend to shop at REI nowadays.

I really liked this jacket! Checked so many boxes but unfortunately it runs small. I’m a solid men’s medium and this is the only one of the many I tried out that did not fit. Oh it’s also missing an arm pocket for a ski pass as well.
