Great Feel, but Not a durable upper
I bought these shoes 27 days ago and immediately loved the feel and how lightweight they are. However, they do not have a very durable upper. I’ve logged 181 miles in these shoes on Strava and the inside of the upper is ripping a little more each day. I loved the feel, but to only get a month out of them before this amount of deterioration for the price hurts.

Super light, grippy, and minimalist.
Really great light weight and minimalist shoe. Very grippy too. Felt great right out of the box, and really enjoyed the feel on a trail. Was pretty dry when I ran, but I get the feeling they would perform well in the wet too.

Fast, agile and incredible grip
incredible grip, light and fast. The heel is a bit too rigid to my liking, but giving it some time.

Great shoes, but a little delicate...
Really liked these shoes. Super light, and the grips were awesome, felt very stable, but the material was a little delicate. Tore through the material after a few long runs.

Awesome shoe, glad I tried it
Super light and responsive. Much different from other trail shoes on the market. Merrell has a great minimalist line up and I think this really adds to it. If you’re looking for something with more grip and pop than the trail gloves, or just something light and nimble that doesn’t feel clunky like other shoes, this will for sure be for you. Only minor complaint is that the heel feels like you’re slipping out at first, but I got used to it during the first run, didn’t have any issues with fit or comfort.

Started well, then...toe pain.
I was so hopeful with these after my first few run, but then I got hit with the FloatPro curse. I have had various MTL shoes recently and encounter the same issue, extreme big toe pain after about 50 miles, it happened with the Long Sky 2s and now again with the SkyFire 2. I can't explain it, I've never experienced this with any other brands, and when I switch back to my Salomons or The North Face trail runners the pain goes away. I wish I could be more positive but I don't think I can buy another pair of MTL shoes.
