Not up to standards
The worst Merrill’s I’ve ever owned. The lace eyelets ripped out less than a month after purchase. I own 5 pairs of Merrill shoes. I’ve been a loyal customer for 25 years, but these were a huge expensive disappointment

Merrill service
The service I received from Merrill was excellent - speedy and prompt - and the product Agility Peak 5 Cloud shoes are very good and comfortable

Heel slip
Lots of heel slip - the former version never had this problem, so frustrating that a more or less perfect shoe now has this pretty big issue. You'll need a heel lock knot, still won't fix the problem 100%.

Comfortable, But the Insole Moves Around Too Much
I love the shoes, they are very light (even after getting wet), comfortable, and dry/drain very well. Just did my first trail race in them though and the insole moves around like no other. I had to stop multiple times just to put the insole back into position.

Love the agility peak 5 trail runner for hiking.
I love the agility peak 5 shoe. Comfy, supportive and durable. Kept my feet feeling great while we hiked 25 miles over the course of a week in the smoky mountains. Basically wore the shoes right out of the box. Frost blue is a fantastic color.

Comfort for the long hikes
I took these shoes to our 2week trip to the Swiss Alps. They did incredible in the different terrains we encountered. On rocky, muddy, grassy, or city grounds these shoes felt amazing. I put 18k-30k steps a day on these shoes and my feet were happy I had these Merrell. I have a 3day weekend hike in the Smokey mountains in a few weeks and I know what shoes I’ll be taking. ⛰️ I had an issue with both of the front flap seams. Little fibers stuck out and irritated the front of my foot. After a scissor trim they felt fine.

Super Comfortable, but not supportive
If you are looking for a supportive shoe, go for the Moab or alternate running line. These lack support above the sole and are super squish below. Super comfortable around the house and perfectly for long days on your feet (like if you are a nurse or physician) as they are like being on air, but I wouldn't take these even on a light hike. I'm not sure why the label them "rugged and technical" as it is not supportive enough to be either.

Well done
Best Agility’s to date - excellent cushioning without sacrificing forefoot foot feel. The Slate color is very complimenting. Like these 5’s so much I purchased a Gore Tex pair in slate color. If amount of cushioning is important for you running needs follow Merrell’s cushioning guide - is very accurate - I have the different models. Being a senior with many running miles on my feet, legs and hips, cushioning is important for me for my running longevity.
