Best Trail Filter Option I Have Found
Great water filter. I use a liter bottle as a canteen when backpacking and my water filter is used to fill it when I need more. In that context, this is the best filter I have used. The flow rate is nice, I can keep the one liter bag full if I need extra water, and it packs up small. On my last trip, everyone was using my filter to make meals because their screw on tube style filters were too slow and a pain to screw on and off our water bags. Great versatile product!!

Easy to use, quick filter
I've done a video or two about this product, that kind of says it all. https://youtu.be/a31Bem0s8UE?si=mpROiA8nQlNP9ExX What I love about it is that it's pretty simple to use, and filters water fairly quickly. One tip or trick is to leave the filter parts soaking overnight in water at home before you use it on your next trip. Preferably, this is 24 hours prior. That way, the individual strands have a chance to separate, rehydrate, and perform better to filter out any particular it's in the Water Source you are obtaining water from. Once you screw the filter part back into the main water bag, it's a breeze to squeeze and get fresh water.

After a season using these in the alpine of Wyoming and Colorado, the BeFree has proven its worth. I use both the 0.6 and 1 L versions. They are light and filter faster than anything I’ve ever used before, huge benefit over other systems. Works great filtering snow melt fast too. Though it’s speed is indicative of a larger micron filter size than most other filtration systems. I would not use in areas with lots of known contaminants, but have had no trouble in high mountain streams and lakes. Last thought, there is a vary fragile plastic connector piece on the nozzles that secures them closed. I haven’t broken one yet, but probably only because I’m so focused on not doing so. Overall would recommend even with those caveats.

Lightweight and clean, what’s not to like?
This bottle is just about perfect— the top gives enough structure to fill from a stream or other body of water, it collapses nice-and-small when not full of water, and you get clean water right away. I haven’t done much back flushing yet— that will be the crucial test.

I did a lot of research on a good lightweight water filtration system before a backpack hunting trip. I settled in this and I am glad that I did. It takes up very little room and filters water quickly. I was able to quickly and easily filter enough water for my daily needs. All that you do is fill it up, screw on the cap, and squeeze the water out. Water comes through easily enough to drink straight from the bottle, or you can squeeze it into other containers. Would definitely recommend.

Love this product! So fast!
I started bringing this on family hiking trips with my kids while I was training for a week long backpacking trip. The kids love it, they can refill their collapsible water bottles in a breeze. (We avoid drinking directly from it since multiple people use it.) I took it with on a week long backpacking trip in the Beartooth Mountains of Montana/ Wyoming. Everyone would have to take their packs off to get their gravity filters and pumps out but not me this little guy fit in a small side pocket and refilled everything in no time. My whole crew started borrowing it while we were on the go. I love it!! I was water purification for the Army, I can see sooo many applications for these. Even purified water can become contaminated and hospitalize a whole unit. If these were used as water bottles, a lot of this could be prevented. Personally I even used it to purify the water in the campground as an added safety measure. But then again, I have a reverse osmosis system in my house. Seriously I love this product!!!
