Why We Like The Juliana Joplin C GX Eagle Transmission Mountain Bike
Whether are ripping through flow trails at Mach speed or taking on a bit more technical trails, the Juliana Joplin is a popular weapon of choice when we need a bike that is capable and still very fast. With efficient-rolling 29-inch wheels and a lightweight frame, the Joplin rockets over rock gardens and roots yet remains agile, making a name for itself as a trail-riding rock star, while taking a little piece of our hearts in the making. With a 65.7-degree head tube angle and a size-specific seat tube angle that averages at 76.3 degrees, the Joplin puts us in the perfect position to conquer the descents, climb efficiently, and maintain precise handling. 120mm of VPP suspension makes for a super efficient climbing bike and feels like a mid-travel bike on the descents. The size-specific chainstay and seat tube angles allow you, me and Bobby McGee to get the perfect size frame. Santa Cruz and Juliana introduced the Glovebox frame storage to most of their frames recently, giving us a place to keep all our ride essentials so we can leave the pack at home. Another new addition to their frames is the Sag Window, a cutout through the frame that allows us to read and set up our rear shock's sag easier. integrated chainstay and downtube protectors keep our frame protected from chain slap and rock strikes and a rear shock fender guards our rear shock from mud and dirt to keep it running smooth for longer.
The GX Eagle Transmission AXS build of the Juliana Joplin is a mid-tier build fitted with quality components and an electronic drivetrain that sports an incredible value. First up, Juliana's Carbon C frame gives us a stiff and lightweight chassis that is designed to the same specifications as Santa Cruz’s premium Carbon CC frame. SRAM's GX Eagle Transmission AXS drivetrain gives us a huge gear range and reliable components for getting up any climb. RaceFace ARC Offset 30 wheels ramp up the value of this build even more and are durable and dependable. A Fox Float Performance Elite rear shock maintains the traction in the rear on the most technical of trails, and a FOX 34 Float Performance Elite or RockShox Pike Select+, 130mm fork soaks up the big hits and gives us tons of adjustments so we can tune our suspension to our riding style. Lastly, dual Maxxis Forekasters give us a lightweight, trail-ready performance that rolls fast and provide the grip we need for aggressive trail rides.
*Due to a high demand in the global supply chain and bike industry since the start of the pandemic, material weight and exact components are subject to change. We are working diligently to keep tech specs updated, and any adjustments will be of equal or better spec level.
