Why We Like The Dynafit Blacklight Pro Ski
Incredibly lightweight and narrow of waist, the Blacklight Pro Ski excels on long, adventurous backcountry tours. Designed with ski mountaineers in mind, or those who seek distance and elevation goals over fresh snow, the Blacklight features an ultralight combination of paulownia wood and uni-direction carbon laminate. This unique carbon construction delivers high tensile strength and durability at a low density that reduces swing weight while maintaining stability. And since the rockered construction and sidecut are adapted accordingly for each ski length, it maintains an effective edge length that keeps you in total control at all times. Its unique Pin-Skin system is designed to work with Pomoca's Race Pro 2.0 skin (not included), but will also fit the normal Dynafit Speed Skin for full-length traction.

Race ski or fast touring?
It’s hard to find a ski that goes uphill this well - and is still fun and stable downhill. At 910 grams it’s not much heavier than a full on skimo race but it would be much faster on icy or hard packed conditions. I haven’t tried the new skin system that uses the pin hole - I just used the notch for a race type skin. The ski has a reputation for being unforgiving but I didn’t find that to be the case and I don’t consider myself to be an expert skier. I put a Dynafit Race 150 binding on the ski which has worked great with my Scarpa F1 LT boots. Highly recommended for citizen racing or super fast touring and both backcountry and in-area skinning and skiing.
