very very disappointed, my last purchase with colu

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this for winter and I have to say I am extremely disappointed, I bought this for warmth during winter when I take my dog for walks. 1. The picture shows that the "shiny coating" is all inside the glove but after closer inspection I notice that it is only at the wrist portion of the glove. I bought this glove for peak michigan winter, without the shiny layer what ever that is called it is not warm at all. I can get equal or better quality of temu for 1/10 of the price.

Really warm and waterproof

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are extremely well made and warm. They run a little small, which is actually a good thing for my small hands. They are truly waterproof and comfortable. I only have 1 complaint but it’s a big one for me: the loops that make it easier to pull them on are very small; too small to be of any use. I’ve had to attach a carabiner to each glove (through the small loop) in order to actually pull them on. My other Columbia gloves have large loops that are very easy to use, even in the coldest weather and with gloves on.

Good warmth/bulk balance

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Warm. These protect my cold fingers, which have been known to go numb with cold in 55 degree weather, in weather as cold as 20 degrees. I can easily hold the dog's leash by the handle in these gloves, I do have to take them off to use the poop bags. They enable me to walk my dog for an hour or more in the cold, so they do exactly what I need.

Great sturdy gloves for the winter. Warm, but wish it had a pocket for a hand warmer.

WARM GLOVES

I finally have found a pair of gloves that keep my hands and fingers warm. I used them in the snow and they are completely waterproof. I love them.

Feature-rich warm heavy weight gloves

This is a warm, feature rich heavy weight glove. I have used it for hiking at -8C degree weather, snowboarding at -2C, and commuting from 1C down to -5C (mix of biking and busing to/from work). It's pretty heavyweight, so I wouldn't recommend it for running. However, it gives me enough dexterity (FYI - dexterity improves over time) to bike around the city and unlock my phone and do simple tasks like refresh my bus route or keyless entry to a building via an app. The e-touch is pretty good in the index fingers, I sometimes have issues with my thumbs though. Because of the thickness of the glove, it's not a glove you can text people from easily, but it again allows you basic things like unlocking your phone and checking a pinned bus route. Based on the mild temperatures I have worn the gloves in, I would say they are warm. However, remember that omni heat works by reflecting your body heat. If your core or head isn't kept warm, warmth from your hands will be redirected to these areas, thus reducing the gloves's ability to heat your hands. I give them 5 stars because these are the warmest gloves I have found that allow me to commute and use basic functions of my phone effectively. PROS: 1. Warm gloves apt for hiking and cold mixed-mode commutes (bus and bike, wouldn't recommend driving if you need to quickly access your phone while driving) 2. Love the arm wrists for when I quickly need to remove my glove for something and then put it back 3. Love the quality materials -- kudos, Columbia! 4. Super soft on the inside 5. Great e-touch tech for basic functions, but not texting 6. Definitely waterproof. Have gotten plenty of snow in these without getting wet. 7. The neoprene for making the glove close-fitting to be able to layer is an awesome idea using again quality materials! CONS: 1. it's not windproof, so sometimes the tips of my fingers get cold when biking sometimes. Please make these windproof! 2. Improve the e-touch and fit in the thumbs. I would love to be able to text in these! 3. An air pocket forms in the palm. This is presumably to allow air gaps for the Omni heat to work better. No biggie, but it's a little annoying for gripping things. 4. They're a bit heavyweight. I have tried a bunch of gloves, and these are the best ones I have found that allow me to use my phone for commuting while also keeping me warm during such commute. 5. Make the leather loops for the gloves to clip together of a different material - the loops started deteriorating quickly when I attached a carabiner to them to carry them around a pack.
