Ethos 32
Plenty of room and well made. It's a good medium option to my smaller and larger packs.

Almost The Perfect Daily Pack
This pack is a great size and has a nice layout. I use it as a daily driver for my shift work as a firefighter, and travel with my family. I appreciate the size and pocket layout. My big disappointments with this bag is the quality. I purchased a StreetCreek 30 which was very durable and well built. The material and quality showed, however this pack is almost like a BD knockoff in comparison. The material in the Ethos seems fragile and cheap, especially the back mesh panel. I so badly wish BD would combine the Street Creek and Ethos to make the perfect daily driver.

Great Overnight Pack
Pack arrived shortly before a weekend getaway by train to Quebec City, QC. Perfect size for a change of clothes and assorted widgets for hopping on the train. Super pleased with the.pack layout and straps, as well!

Super Flimsy
I wanted to like it a lot: a 2000 cu. in. top-loader with cool features and excellent construction/materials. I would like to see a wider top flap zipper, perhaps wrapping around the corners a bit. The way it is, its small access is a nuisance with just a phone, a couple small pouches and case for sunglasses. This pack needs to stay in the confines of the urban realm; office, city commuting, gym. Books might be a bit heavy for it— do they still have books in school? I like the side pockets, but, again— super flimsy, and one of the pockets has a gaping access cut-out across in the middle-third of its length. Real chintzy buckles for the top flap's straps. The design feature set is there, just a super light-weight pack for the "Campus Series." To think that some people complain about the durability of the stitching and materials on the Street Creek and Transit packs! Inside, is a pretty good mix of space and organizational arrangements. The computer pocket is solid— no doubt about it. As for the rest of the pack-- I would expect to find this build-weight in the campus book store. Definitely the flimsiest pack in this size from BD I've ever seen.

Lacks a waistbelt
It's a good pack, I appreciate the number and variety of pockets, quality of construction and reflective markings. One thing missing for me is a waistbelt. I bought this pack because it seemed like the best solution for my winter cycling commute. Without the waistbelt the pack is liable to move around while I'm cycling which isn't the most comfortable. The inclusion of reflective markings suggests that Black Diamond had active commuting in mind when they designed this pack so the omission of a waist belt is puzzling to me.
