We made the Notchtop GORE-TEX Active Jacket for powder-hounds who prefer to earn their turns. This shell keeps us moving with its lightweight, breathable, super stretchy GORE-TEX Active membrane, which maintains waterproof, breathable protection for skinning on bluebird and pow days alike. When the spring sun heats up, the Notchtop's front pockets double as ventilators to cool us down. And if our skins get icy, the pockets are large enough to store them between hot laps.

Nice but decided to return
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it

- S

I loved the color, fit, and the size (for me S) was perfect. However, I am returning because the hood doesn't have drawstrings. To keep my head dry during rain, I think it will be pretty useless, especially if there is any wind. Would have also liked pockets but would have kept it even without pockets if not for the floppy and useless hood.

I?ve only used it a handful of times so far, but I really like it. It?s super breathable and extremely comfortable. I love that it is not stiff and doesn?t make that annoying noise when I move. I?m 5?4 and 34 DD. The medium fit, but I ended up swapping for a large to have more room for layering.

Snowboarding in the PNW
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times

After a classic PNW snow/rain day on the mountain where my old east coast snow jacket just wasn't cutting it I knew I needed some 3L goretex in my life. I'm 5'3" 145lbs, athletic build, and this jacket fits great! Plenty of room for a baselayer and warmer but thin jacket underneath. I don't have the classic PNW packable down puffy jacket to layer with so I use a Patagonia quarter snap fleece underneath. The front vents that double as pockets are super handy. The card pocket on the L sleeve is great. The armpit vents are also wonderful. The jacket length is down past my butt but doesn't feel too long at all. The wrists have the classic Velcro piece to keep the snow out. The hood fits over my helmet.

I needed a new winter shell and this one sure does the trick for all winter activities. The breathability is the best of any shell I’ve used thanks to the numerous vents. It’s wind resistant on exposed summits and keeps me try in wet Northeast snow. We’ve been hit with crazy cold temps this winter and my jacket has preformed even better than expected on the unbearably cold days. It’s held up against branches, hard falls and dog nails and is still in tip top shape. I’ve used this jacket on just about every winter outing so far and it’s become a fun colored staple of this season. It fits perfect to size and I can still fit multiple layers underneath. I was given this product by backcountry but this is my personal opinion.

So far - love it!

I have been using this jacket since the season started, mostly for touring. PRO: This jacket has the right pockets and incredible venting to help you dump heat but still stay covered up from the elements, like wet snowfall. I'll plan to update the review later in the year when I've used this more throughout the winter. CON: The wrists are very narrow. I'm typically an XS in tops / outerwear jackets, and the XS fits perfectly.

So I bought this jacket to backcountry ski in bc it has such a good breathability but I have also used it on hikes and also while trail running in and I have fallen in love with this jacket. I got the purple colorway and I am obsessed with it. All my running buddies have complimented this jacket. I am so happy I purchased this jacket bc it covers so many winter sports.
