Why We Built The WHITESPACE 2L Cargo Bib Overall Pant

We built the WHITESPACE 2L Cargo Bib Overall Pant with the durability, warmth, and comfort we like in an all-mountain bib. The 20k stretch shell fabric delivers protection against the elements and maximizes comfort with articulated shaping at the knees and hips. The bib is crafted with a side zip for easy entry, and it's completely detachable for those days we'd rather ride suspender-free. Mesh thigh vents provide ventilation when the hefty recycled insulation starts to feel a bit too warm. On the waist, a custom belt provides a secure fit with just a quick pull, keeping the Cargo Bib Pant in place no matter how hard we shred.

Nice Bibs, missing a few key features

I like these bibs, lots of compliments on their look and I like the fit (although I went up a size because they do run small). I wish that they had a working fly as other reviewers have noted. They are awesome when you can leave the thigh vents open to allow for breathing; however, on super cold days, they build up moisture inside the pants/pockets. I have learned to let the vents be open all the time for max comfort. I did have an issue with a broken zipper on a pocket, but Backcountry was terrific about issuing a warranty replacement-great customer service.

Bad quality materials

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I bought this bib two month ago and today tested it as winter season opened in my mountains, after second run i found that pocket zipper was broken and i basically cant use one pocket, another huge issue is that inside material is not breathable, i was wearing thermal shirt and all the wet was on bib but inside, could not get why i was sweating so much until i changed close. I would return this one for sure if i could, but i am outside of USA right now. Recommend to check something else

Size Up

Saw the reviews that said it ran small so I sized up and got a Large. Ive tried it on and it fits good. Will be testing out it durability as soon as the season starts. Only thing that I do not like is that in order to use the bathroom you need to remove the bib down to the waist. Would be nice if they added a zipper or made the zipper on the side drop further down.

They run a little small; you should size up for comfort. They are a snug fit but I like that since all my gear gets pretty bulky. The side zip works with the shoulder strap design where it unhooks on one side to allow you to drop the front so you can still use the restroom. I used these FEB23' in Park City, UT when we got 24" of snow in 24hrs. Operating temps ranged from 14 degrees to 34 degrees and I stayed comfortable the whole time. The insulation is good enough to just wear a merino base layer. I had it paired with the Matching 2L Jacket. Spent a week in whiteout conditions, fresh pow, tree runs and digging myself out of snow banks. These performed great, kept me warm and exceeded my expectations.

Not a logical design...

It is impossible to go to the bathroom with these. They are designed like a romper for a female. The side zip is just that, only a small side zip...you would have to shimmy these things down to your ankles in order to pee at a urinal. Great snug fit and warm like I was looking for, but I am not taking the chance of having to pee in the woods on the side of a trail and needing to drop my bib below my waist to do so. Returning unfortunately.
