Why We Like The The North Face Summit Breithorn Hoodie
In our alpine playground, we need a hefty midlayer that won't hold us back. The North Face's Summit Breithorn Hoodie, part of their high-elevation-focused Summit Series, unsurprisingly fits the bill. They pack their light, responsibly sourced ProDown into a lightweight nylon shell to deliver warmth at the lowest mass possible. And when our day of play turns into a workout, it stows in its own pocket and quickly stashes in our pack for later.

I would NOT buy this product again
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this jacket one month ago. Used it twice in two commercial flights. After that, I discovered a 2 cm (0.8 inches) tear in the fabric of the right sleeve. If this happens with normal use of the jacket (I didn't do anything special that could have caused such damage), imagine what would happen in an extreme context. Really frustrating for a jacket so expensive. I was a fan of TNW, but this is the last product I buy from them.

Multiple use makes me happy.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm always looking for clothing pieces that I can use in a variety of setting. Th Summit Series Breithorn Hoody fits the bill. It has been worn as a top layer on cool days, and a mid layer under a shell on cold ones. Casual, or working outside, it's a handy piece to have.

I would recommend it for similar purposes.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have had it for a few weeks. I've been using it for cold weather hiking. It is very warm, especially w a waterproof shell layered on. It is extremely packable, very light. The zipper pulls could be a little larger, and the inside pockets cant handle weight very well, but these arent problems for my use. The M fit is perfect for me, at 5'7" 170 lbs.
