This is the second pair of Salomon trail running shoes I’ve bought in the same size but these ones are a quarter to half in shorter than my others so I returned them.

Love this shoe.

They Fit My Feet

I have been wearing XA Pro 3D's for many, many years. I use custom orthotics and these shoes provide the room I require for the orthotics to fit comfortably in the shoes. I have found the XA Pro 3D to be a very comfortable and durable shoe. The best shoe is always the one that fits your foot.

Pressure over top of big toe

Really gutted as i have had two Salomon hiking boots prior to these and they were ace. Sadly these are tight over the top of my right big toe - i think associated with the position of the toggles where the lace threads in which is lower down the foot than before. I have worked for three weeks to try and wear them in by I'm afraid they hurt when i walk downhill. If you have high arches or anything approaching a big toe bunion then i think these will be tight. Such a shame as they look great and my left foot is super comfortable!

A firm favourite

I’ve had many pairs of Salomon XA Pro. I’ve tried other brands but nothing beats these. Love the goretex it just gives that extra protection when conditions are tough. Great for walking the dog, scrambling over rough terrain or just going to the shop.

My go-to daily shoe

When I find a shoe that fits my high arch with great footbed support and stability I’m happy. It’s not easy for me to find the total package in a shoe. I also like the easy lacing system so I never have to stop to tie a shoe! I wish the colors were a bit more subtle, but I like the gore tex material so I just buy what you have in my size. Please don’t make any drastic changes!

Nice trail hiking shoe

I only wear Salomon trail and hiking shoes. These are a bit stiff but do a good job on the trail and have good traction. Would not consider them to be trail runners but a good solid day hiking shoe.

First pair and loving

Shoe bed is comfortable and can wear 12 hrs and no problem. The toe box is ample for a wide foot. I like not having to toe shoe laces and can adjust the fit in seconds. The exterior colors are fabulous and i like the waterproof feature for any day can wear. Received several compliments.

Solid hiking shoe!

Have had previous versions of this shoe - this one doesn’t disappoint. Easy lace up. Comfortable foot bed - no lifting/sliding in heel. Feels like my foot is cradled. Amazing grip…even on wet slippery rocks. And of course, waterproof (tested that feature day one!). Overall. very satisfied with this shoe.

Awesome shoes. This is my 6th. I prefer the old location of the cord pocket.
