Bought this to start running ultras. Went out for a run to test this gear out, and the gear left my awareness / disappeared, and I felt so good myself, that I just kept running and completed my first first one! I didn't put a lot of thought into sizing. I wear a medium T shirt, so I ordered that size. Some reviews & reviewers say this creeps up on your neck. If you find that to be the case, loosen the upper elastic closure on the front. Only tighten this enough so it doesn't move. As for water bladder routing, look for the blue loops to pass the hose through (on the right side); the tube is intended to come up toward you (pointing in the same direction as the flasks), not over your shoulder like on backpacks. The bladder goes in the pocket closest your back. The insulation sleeve is very cheap and doesn't fit the bladder I have. Heck with it. There are a lot of cheaper options out there, but given how long I intend to have this, buying cheaper wasn't a good idea. There's so little bounce to everything, even full. I brought layers in case I got stranded out, headlight, water, snacks, cell, rain gear, etc. It felt a lot heavier in my hand than it did wearing it.

So versatile & comfortable!

Love this vest. I went with the 12 so I could use it for shorter and longer adventures. Its so comfortable, and moves with me. I don't have to tug at the adjustments or play with it while running, which is awesome. It does have a LOT of pockets, which takes time to remember where everything goes and maybe is a draw back for short excursions, but for long adventures it has tons of storage and ample places to put things.

Great product

I am 5’8 165 and got a size large. Transitioned from solely weightlifting into running and was wondering if a medium or large would be proper, but L was perfect. Really lightweight and durable. Pack is useful and convenient.

Excellent Pack for Grand Canyon R2R2R

Great pack that is lightweight, has plenty of storage, adjustable to fit collapsible trekking poles, and durable. Took it through the Grand Canyon Rim to Rim to Rim and the pack did not disappoint

My favorite vest by far

This vest is great. It's comfortable, has lots of room for snacks and gear, and has been durable with one exception, the zippers. I've had one for 6 months and love it; however, both zippers have come off making those pockets worthless. I just ordered another of these vests hoping that the zippers thing is isolated to my current vest. Other than the zippers, this has been one is my favorite vests for trail running and hiking.

Amazing fit and functionality!

bought this vest for my first 50k ultra and couldn't be happier. No bounce while running, flasks stay secured and don't slosh once you get the air out of them, multiple front pockets for gels, tablets, and a nice trash holder as well. I was extremely reluctant to buy a vest as a minimalist runner, but Salomon nailed it with this vest! Use the sizing guide and the fit will be amazing.

Super bequem, super nützlich, super robust

Ich habe mir die Weste für Läufe > 20 km angeschafft. Ich bin sehr zufrieden. Die Weste trägt sich nah am Körper ohne arg aufzutragen. Ich würde mir noch einen Schnurverschluss an den Schultertaschen und ein besseren "hereingleiten" der Wasserflasks wünschen. Ansonsten top und zu empfehlen

Great Pack for Day Hikes and Trail Runs

I was hesitant to buy this at first because there were some many comments about the straws being to long and hitting people in the face while they ran. I went ahead and ordered it thinking I could switch out the hydra-packs for some different ones i already had. Once I got it and played around with it for a bit my boyfriend and I discovered that the straws tuck into loops at the top of vest. It hodls them in an arc shape so they don’t flap in front of you like antennas. Overall I’m really satisfied with this purchase! The pack can hold a large hydra-pack, first aid kit, and anything else you could possibly need while out on a day hike or doing a long trail run. If I was going to change anything, it would be addressing the straw issue and at least letting people know how to properly use the straps if they want to keep the straws down. Otherwise this is a great product!
