Why We Like The Rocky Mountain Solo A50 Sram Gravel Bike

From short rides down the local trail to long bikepacking adventures, the Rocky Mountain Solo A50 Sram Gravel Bike is ready to take us anywhere we want to ride. This gravel machine’s frame is built with a strong 6061 SL Series alloy for long-lasting durability, weather resistance, and stability, and the carbon fiber fork enhances overall riding comfort with added vibration-dampening properties. Because this bike is meant for all adventures, it features a more relaxed geometry to keep us comfortable as we spend hours in the saddle. For versatile storage options, the frame and fork feature a total of 20 bottle/accessory mounts to ensure anything we need for a big trip is along for the ride.

Spec’d with the SRAM Rival 1 x 11-speed drivetrain, we are provided with optimal gearing options to take us up, down, or flat through any terrain in our way. The SRAM Rival 1 rear derailleur controls the 11-42t cassette with a smooth, reliable shifting performance and eliminates unwanted chain movement. We like the combination of the WTB ST i23 TCS wheelset and WTB Venture TCS Light Fast Rolling tires for the unmatched traction, speed, and overall reliability they provide on any surface we ride.

First curly bar bike

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Size Bought:
56

This bike had all the features I was looking for at a fantastic price. I mainly mountain bike, but I see the benefits of learning other disciplines and riding opportunities. I’ve already added a dropper post and wider bars. I think the Solo looks great and it rides good.
