Why We Like The Newton Ridge Plus II Waterproof Wide Hiking Boot
The Columbia Men's Newton Ridge Plus II Waterproof Hiking Boot is a tough, mid-height hiker built to withstand muddy trails, wet weather, and technical terrain. The leather upper has a PU coating and sealed seams to prevent a single raindrop from seeping through, and mesh panels provide quick-drying comfort around the collar and tongue. Underfoot, a Techline midsole maintains energy return with soft cushioning while Omni-Grip rubber gives the sole extra traction on technical terrain.

Been buying Columbia boots for 11 years now and to

Comfortable but don’t last
The good news is I’ve owned several pairs of these boots. The bad news is that I’ve owned several pairs of these boots. They are super comfortable right out of the box, lightweight, and waterproof. Great for hiking and walking the dog. Five star rating for that. Unfortunately, in my case, the rubber soles wear down to nothing in just a few months of wearing them two or three hours a day. The stitching and everything is great, but there’s no tread left. If Columbia could make them last longer it would be a major improvement and I wouldn’t be looking at other brands.

Most comfortable hiking boot I have ever worn.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought these end of August last year. Excellent fit (really best fit of a hiking boot I have ever had) and kept my feet warm through the winter even during subzero temps. Walking a puppy 4 to 5 times a day, comfort is key and with having wider than normal feet, the fact these come WIDE is a HUGE plus. Soles lasted about 360 miles with half that walking in sand so typical range of at the price point and still usable. Definitely buying another pair soon.

had to buy two pairs.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Columbia Newton Ridge Plus II is a good choice for those looking for a versatile and durable hiking boot. It offers good traction, comfort, and support, making it suitable for various outdoor activities. I praise its waterproofing capabilities, sturdy construction, and overall value for the price. However, the sizing may run a bit small, so it's recommended to try them on before purchasing or consider ordering a size up. Overall, the Columbia Newton Ridge Plus II is a solid choice for those in need of a reliable all-around boot for outdoor adventures.

Incredible boot!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought a pair of Columbia boots after wearing Merrells for years. OMG! What a difference. The Merrells were stiff, bad grip, and made my toes hurt going downhill. The right size just tight. These Columbia boots are light, flexible, super comfy (like boot slippers)! Great tread. I bought the wide (not that my foot’s wide) and it blew me away so much, I bought a backup pair! Highly recommended.

Good boot for the money
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great boot a little stiff at first but loosens up after the first few days I bought these boots for hunting and I think they are going to be great we’ll built I was a little nervous buying this brand but I have no complaints what so ever good quality leather seems could be double stitched instead of single but other than that nice boot can’t say if they are waterproof yet as I have not walked through a puddle with them yet

Great shoes and comfortable
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The shoes are waterproof and very comfortable. I wear them everyday for work. My old pair lasted over 2yrs with very heavy use. I now use the old pair as around the house boots.
