Ghost 16 Shoe - Women's

Too small and wide in front

I wore the brooks ghost 12, 13 and 14 and was about to buy the new ghost 16. However they don’t fit true to size, I had to try a full size bigger. With this bigger size the forefoot became very wide. Therefore had to switch to another brand unfortunately. Hope the next ghost series go back to the old sizing.

Suffer from back issues. Since getting these sneakers my back pain has almost completely subsided. Super comfortable to wear. The most comfortable I’ve ever had actually. So glad my friend recommended to me.

Not for Everyone’s stride

Not giving a 2 because the shoe itself is bad - just not for someone who has a good mid foot strike as their normal stride. The cushion pad is too much for my foot strike. The older ghosts with less cushion suited me a lot better. The launch is my perfect shoe because they haven’t touched the sole and made Them super thick yet!

Ghost 16 huggable and roomy at the same time

Love the way this new and improved Ghost 16 hugs your heel to feel secure in each step. The toe area is roomy and step after step it keeps it's shape, no more saggy toe material. Shoe laces that do not come undone when on a treadmill is the clincher for me.

I can't wear them--makes my feet hurt!

I've been wearing Brooks for about 6 years now, and have loved them. However, they have changed the sole, and it's too soft. It feels like I'm walking in sand and makes my feet ache after walking. It feels unsteady and even makes my plantar fascitis act up. I've tried this new Ghost 16 and the new Gycerin 21--and I can't wear them! Please bring back the material used in the previous versions! I'm hoping you'll put out a new Trace this year and that it doesn't have this new sole!

Was hopeful, but have to return the Ghost 16.

Been wearing the Ghost for years. Was excited for more cushion of the Ghost 16, but sadly like others, I found the toe box to be much more narrow and a tad shorter than previous versions. I use them for daily exercise walking and found the shoe was squeezing my toes and rubbing to the point of pain. Sadly I will be returning these and will repurchase several pair of the Ghost 15 while they still have my size. One thing I really loved about the Ghost was the comfort of the toe box, and sadly this version doesn't make the cut.

I confess, I'm not a runner. But I have very difficult feet to fit. Most shoes are OK for an hour, then my feet (especially bunions) are screaming at me. I can wear these ALL DAY without pain. These are the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. I bought the one pair of 6.5W available in my city. Loved them so much, I ordered another pair on-line, so I am all set for a while.

Finally back in the Ghost!

Thank you, Brooks, for bringing back a lighter, more neutral version of this shoe! I wear customized orthotics for overpronation and have relied on the Ghost for years, but I stopped when the 14 was released. Both the 14 and 15 provided too much support that left my feet pushing up and out of the shoe, which felt a lot heavier and clunkier than previous versions. I've not been able to find another shoe since, so I'm pleasantly surprised by the Ghost 16, which feels more like the 13 that I loved. My only complaint about the more recent models overall is that the interior material at the heel comes apart much more quickly than it had with previous models, and I haven't made any sock changes. Hopefully the 16 will hold up a bit longer!

Good Color

Compared to my Ghost 14's, these are a little softer, with a smidge less support. I like that they aren't black & white like all the other size 11 wide

Ghost lover

I have been loving Ghost for about ten years now. I am highly excited when the newest model comes out. This shoe feels so bouncy and that is helpful for my sore knees. It is not my favorite color…. I liked the dark grey with soft pink accents a couple of years ago and have not been thrilled about the colors since but that will not keep me from buying Ghost. I just wish they lasted a whole year so I don’t have to buy another 16 in about 6 months.
