Why We Like The Flare Headlamp
We stuff the Flare Headlamp into our running vest in case we get caught on the trail when the sun goes down. The compact, ultralight design doesn't weigh us down and still gives plenty of light to safely navigate our way back to the trailhead.

Very sweet little lightweight emergency light
It weighs so little it makes sense to carry it for emergencies. Intuitive to use.

Surprisingly bright
I bought this headlamp as a backup to keep in my pack for long days and it’s quickly turned into my go to headlamp. Turns out we. Don’t need 500 lumens lol. I much prefer using this over my brighter headlamps.

Awesome lil guy
I am very pleased with my new headlight. It’s compact yet robust with its functions and a perfect addition to my lightweight pack gear. It’s very comfortable to wear and doesn’t need frequent adjustments. I like its versatility and wearing options. I do wish the bright steady light was the first option vs the last on twist dial. Overall very happy 👍🏻

Must have in your Emergency pack!
Packs light, practical with essential features! My only issue-- when rotating the dial for your light settings using one hand is not an option as it moves the strap and u will need to repsotion the light to keep it centered. Otherwise great little light to keep alongside!

Great product
I own a few of these. One lives in my survival kit that goes in my pack whenever it gets taken out of the house. The other is in my kit for game processing when hunting. You never know when you're gonna be in the dark playing with knives and an extra light is more than welcome. The fact it weighs next to nothing great as well. 2 is 1, and 1 is none.

Superlight not but super useful
This headlamp is indeed super light. You barely notice it on your head. I like the simplicity of the controls as well. I haven't actually used it that much though, because it's just not that bright. In situations where weight is an issue, the compromise on brightness is also an issue. I find when I throw a headlamp in my bag for potential emergency use (e.g. day hikes, or ski touring or trail runs) I don't grab this one, because if I actually end up needing to use it, I'm going to wish it was brighter. And when I don't really need the brightness (e.g. camping, cooking/hanging out/reading around camp) then weight is not really a concern, so I opt for something with more versatility and longevity. So I don't actually think it's that useful.

The headlamp Ive been looking for
Ive been looking for a small headlamp for edc. Im tired of holding little pen lights. This thing is awesome. Sturdy metal housing and angling hinge. Bright enough, plenty of settings and function for runners, cyclists and backpackers alike. My favorite part is the band is very thin but sturdy and the sizing is easily adjustable with the intuitive draw string. I wear mine around my neck under my shirt like a necklace and after a few days I stopped noticing it was there. Now Im equipped with not only a multi function compact edc light but its HEADLAMP putting my workflow ahead of my coworkers by miles. 4/5 STARS BECAUSE- the tiny button batteries will be a nuisance at some point, I would absolutely pummel the 5 star button for a rechargeable model. Make it happen black diamond.

Head lamp help
I am elderly and have eye sight issues. It is beyond important that I am able to see what I am doing. It is a mater of my being safe! Both my Spot 400 Headlamp and my Flare Headlamp are indispensable. The very bright light from the headlamps enable me to truly see what I am looking for, or to see my surroundings. Simply put, the headlamps keep me safe!

Decent Headlamp horrible battery design.
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
This thing was pretty great to have as a back up headlamp and worked well untill I needed to replace the battery. I can not for the life of me open it. I even bought a specialized tool for turning the back to open it and it won't budge. The plastic started to break as I tried. It's basically useless for me now. Very disappointed.
