Why We Like The Altra Torin 7 Shoe
The Torin 7 is a versatile Altra running shoe for our daily running and training. With a 30mm stack height, the Torin adds extra Altra EGO MAX foam for a softer ride with the brand's patented Balanced Cushioning placing our heel and forefoot the same distance from the ground to encourage a more natural running form. Compared to its predecessor, the Torin 7 has added 2mm of cushioning, redesigned the tongue for better comfort, and updated the engineered mesh uppers for better breathability and comfort.

Not for me.
My heel never stayed in the shoe. Even after lacing them differently I couldn't get them to work. I also experienced a weird pain at the top of my foot while wearing these. Doubt this has anything to do with the shoe being bad, just that it's not right for me.

Great fit!
I've got about 150 miles on these so far, generally enjoying them. The length is so much better than the Torin 6, but those made it 500 miles. My only real issue with the 7 is that I do wish the stack height hadn't increased from 28mm - 30mm, I really liked the midsole of the 6, the 7 is just a touch squishy for me. Curious if the 7 will hold up as well, time will tell. I alternate these with Escalante's on the road, and there's certainly more of a contrast between the two with the Torin 7 in the rotation. I'd recommend them and suspect most people will be really happy with them.

Soles come apart too fast.
I bought this shoe when experiencing pulled muscle they were amazing I went from can't hardly walk to only being able to walk in these shoes. However, I would expect better quality for the almost 200 I paid to buy them. I am not a runner, within a month the soles started coming apart on the bottom of the shoes. I am sad that these aren't better quality I have Nikes and sketchers for 5-7 years and still going nothing is ripping of if those shoes. Altar u need to provide better quality product that doesn't fall apart a month later.

Didn't hold up
After a little more than 100 miles, the fabric is torn in the same 2 spots on both shoes. I love these shoes, especially for their fit, but they should last longer.

Love these!!
Loving them so far. Use them for running. Probably have ~170 miles. I was a bit hesitant to get these because I had version 6 before and we're not a great fit for me. These are great though.

Torin 7 are great. Just a squeak.
Love all of my Altras. Great shoes. I've had these Torin 7 for a month. Roughly 45 miles on them. Love the design cushion on these. I had been running on the Lone Peaks. One of these Torin 7 has developed an odd squeak every step. Other than that squeak I love these.

Could be better Quality
Great comfort but poor quality. The shoe tore on the size after 90 miles. I have a pair of the Olympus which are a better quality.

Will not buy a 4th pair
3 pairs of Torins and a pair of FWDExperience and they have all split on the same side in the same spot. Like like the fit and feel of the shoes, but Quality is no good at all. My latest pair had 136 miles and have started the splitting/tearing process. Horrible waste of $$$.

I had to go a half size smaller but wow they feel good.
These are the best shoes for my bad knees. At first, these needed a little breaking in, but now they are like butter on my feet. Love them and the other 2 pairs I bought. I have 15 pair of Altras now and I wear them everyday.
