Why We Like The Mini Mega Magic Longboard Surfboard
We want to make one thing clear, the Walden Surfboards Mini Mega Magic Longboard Surfboard is not a small longboard, it is a high-volume shortboard. Designed for bigger surfers or newer surfers starting to work toward short boards, this board takes the volume from the length and puts it in the width to create float and offer stability without hurting maneuverability.

Good board for smaller waves

I have both the 6’10 and 7’6 versions of this board. I really like the 6’10. I lived on Oahu when I was a kid and surfed mainly with short boards. Now I am on the east coast a lot older and surf mainly longboards accept when a front comes up the coast. These boards work well up to about a 6 foot wave. They have a lot of float so they do good in mushy stuff. It is hard to duck dive with them so if the waves get too big you’re going to struggle getting out. You might think that because they are thick that they won’t turn but they do turn pretty well. You’re not going to pump the wave and then snap off the top like a short board. I have several boards that I use and when the waves are 2-3 in the summer I always grab one of these Waldens.
