Great for Day hikes!
This wonderful and comfortable pack is perfect for long and short day hiking. It has plenty of volume, features and the Airzone keeps your back nice and dry during warm weather. For years my day pack was a Mountain 40, which was great except in hot weather. The Airzone line has made it so much more comfortable. Also, it has 3L water bladder sleeve that makes carrying water easier. This is my 5th Lowe Alpine pack (the smallest) all which I still have (some retired). In the 30 years I have used them, they have never let me down. Lowe Alpine is quality assured.

The ideal day sac for
The ideal day sac for ramblers with room for spare outer layers and lunch. The AirZone is a blessing in warm weather. Replaces a previous model that lasted 10 years and four continents before its mysterious disappearance. We have two larger ones and they are all good so we trust Alpine Lowe.
