Trainer Tire
We all know the stir-crazy feeling that haunts us in the winter, and it's a relief that we have trainers to help us through those dark days without warm weather riding. Frequent riders often find that their rear wheel wears down over time, so we recommend switching it up. Made specifically to be used with your indoor trainer, the Trainer Tire from Saris is made from a durable, quiet compound that handles mile after mile on your rollers like a dream.

Best trainer tire
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
I fill this up to 110 psi on a 19mm inner width rim with a wheel-on, heavy flywheel trainer, and if I wipe it down with alcohol before every use, I get 4000-5000 miles out of them. No slippage. Doesn't overheat.

Awesome tire for the trainer, saves my expensive road tires
After wearing out several expensive road tires, I decided to jump in a get the trainer tire. I put it on a spare wheel w/o a PowerTab tub for use with a PowerBeam Pro trainer. I do have to go through the very slight trouble to change out the back wheel on my bike when I put it on the trainer, but it's not a big deal or any hassle at all. The trainer tire is quiet and very durable. After countless hours using it over the long Alaska winter when road bikes are essentially useless outside, I see no wear at all. I expect at least another 3 year of use from this tire before I'll even have to consider getting a new one.
