Durable, Lightweight and Waterproof

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

Purchased two of these…so my size could grow from one into the next and this could be a lengthier time study with a goretex toddler hiking boot - something rather scarce in the market place compared to adults. Overall, very happy with the boots. The first set of boots which were used as his camp shoes prior to and during a 95 mile rafting trip in Eastern Oregon with environmental conditions including hail, rain and the glorious sun, are still sending it hard. I’ve checked several times on the waterproofing of these boots because my son likes to jump into puddles and shallow water despite my requests not to. Thus, giving ample opportunity to pull the boots off and check to see how well the goretex is doing. And it is holding well, comparable to my Lowa, Arc Tryx, and Vasque goretex waterproofness. Lightweight compared to waterproof boots available to toddlers. Not a lot of goretex options in this category so what is available is generally much heavier than these boots. So, it also makes for a better all around boot for going out on rainy days around the yard, for a walk or to the park. Less “clunky” and thus, less concerns for catching or tripping compared to say my toddler’s Boggs or rain boots.
