Why We Like The Marmot Echo Featherless Long Jacket
When we call out for the coziest coat we can find, Marmot responds with the Echo Featherless Long Jacket. Its tough, recycled face keeps wind and moisture at bay, and the toasty synthetic insulation offers heat that mimics 700-fill down. The insulation is nearly as packable as down, too, so when the day warms up, we can pack this parka away until the next storm.

I love this light weight jacket/coat
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The women’s echo featherless jacket, is more like a coat in that the length covers all the places I get cold. My neighbor was wearing one and I asked her for the details and I am so glad I ordered one for myself! It is warm, the shape is flattering, not puffy and the hood is extra cozy. It’s two way zipper shows that the designers gave attention to details. I usually only want down jackets but this one has won me over. I am only sad that it’s getting too warm to wear it now that spring has finally come but I know it will be my go to when it gets cold again!

Not ideal for cold and wind
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times

I bought this coat about a month ago for a trip to Ireland in April. It was windy and temps ranged from 40-55. I bought it based on other positive reviews, but was unfortunately super disappointed. This coat did not stand up to the cold, and the wind went right through it. My husband’s Patagonia nanopuff was perfect for him, so thankfully, I used the extra sweaters he didn’t need. This coat might be good for fall, but I absolutely would NOT recommend for cold and windy weather. I’d way rather have had a Patagonia or my old bulkier Columbia puffer that I used previously.

I’ve had zero problems with my jacket. It keeps its shape and the black isn’t too shiny. Highly recommend

Warm and slim fitting

I bought this for my daughter. She'd requested a mid-thigh length slim profile puffer sufficiently warm to go out at night through our Massachusetts winter. She loves it. Not dressy itself but dresses up nicely worn with boots and a pretty scarf. And not too bulky to have with you at restaurants and clubs. We're both very satisfied with the quality.

Perfect stylish warm coat
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This coat is great for those transitional times of the year. It’s warm and covers your rear for extra warmth.

I bought this and am very happy with. The first one got a hole in the pocket but REI replaced it. Fit is great and sleeves are long enough for my long arms.

Light as a feather
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter told me about this brand. She and her family are avid skiers. The lightness of this coat is … equivalent to a feather, yet, toasty warm. I wanted the black coat but the sale price on this coat was too good to be true.

Great Lightweight Option
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this jacket for a lightweight layer (a Minnesotan considers this a good jacket for 32-50 F). Runs slightly large. I am a true medium and there’s plenty of room for layering in a Medium. Fabric is not super shiny like some reviews mention.

The description indicated that it was a "stuff-into-itself featherless jacket". How does that work?

How does this coat compare to down for warmth? Does it have fleece lining like some of the down coats?

Does this have a temperature rating (i.e., would it be warm enough for a NE winter with temps in 20s-30s or less)? Thanks!
