Why We Like The HOKA Stinson ATR 7 Trail Running Shoe

Now with softer foam, a smoother rocker, and a touch of stability, the HOKA Stinson ATR 7 Trail Running Shoe keeps our daily singletrack miles steady, letting us sink into our flow. With supportive H-frame technology and raised sidewalls, the platform minimizes heel deviation on strikes and shifting inside the shoe on uneven terrain, keeping our transitions smooth and stable no matter how technical the terrain gets. Atop wet rocks and soft dirt, the sticky rubber and multi-directional lugs bite and claw to ensure no energy is leaked to slips and slides.

DURABILITY ISSUES

Midsole separated from shoe after 20 miles. Began warranty process and was informed Hoka would not be able to honor my exchange with the same size and color shoe after they were shipped but before the shoes were even received. Instead, they gave me a full refund. The shoe felt phenomenal but durability is unacceptable. I was also shocked to find that Hoka does not offer a Pro Deal for military and first responders like many other companies. I guess profit over quality is king these days. I'd pass on this model.

Time to upgrade the tread

Been trail running in the Hoka brand for years. Live in AZ and the trails are harsh. I am finding the tread on the Stinson 7 to be very poor. Within a month or less they are already noticeably bad. I've had to purchase 3 pair in this model which is great for Hola but really poor for my budget. Current pair is only 3 months old and need a new pair. The front foot area at the bend is to the point where I can feel the rocks. I am slipping on even the slightest incline. Please upgrade the tread or it's time to find another brand.

Sadly no

Looks like a great product. Too wide for my foot even using inserts

Most support of any Hoka so far

I own the Stinson 6 and 7. Although I prefer the uppers and lacing on the Stinson 6, the midsole and outsole of the 7 is far superior to the 6. The Stinson 6 midsole is so soft it was done in 3 months of just walking. The 7 provides more support and durability. They are both wide for my narrow feet. I purchased a pair of Arahi 7's in a women's 12 to get a stability shoe that was narrow enough, but it does not have near the support of the Stinson 7. Weight in a shoe is irrelevant to me, I need the support and the Stinson 7 has it. Also, the Gaviota 5 is so wide its not even a consideration.

Defective product

Bought Stinson 7 after having a good experience with Stinson 6; after 4 days of use the internal part of sole started coming unglue on both shoes, same location. Returning shoes ASAP!

Another great HOKA!

I have several pair of Hoka's. Every one have been comfortable to walk all day in. They are made well. I can't hardly stand to wear anything else. I am becoming a HOKA Snob and that's a good thing

My new favorite shoes

I wear them everywhere. They grip the ground very well. I feel very stable even when I'm on a steep slope
