Why We Like The Nomad 50 Solar Panel
Increase your weekend camping charging capabilities with Goal Zero's Nomad 50 Solar Panel. The foldable design is still plenty durable to hold up during all of our adventures. The USB and solar outputs give plenty of charging options and for faster charging, and we can chain multiple Goal Zero panels together. This size is ideal for charging laptops and other essentials, and can even run a portable fridge. Charge up a Goal Zero power pack (sold separately) so wevcan use the power later. The hanging loops on this panel allow us to hang it from vehicles and tents so we can stay connected wherever we are.

Not too big, not too small, it's just right!
My wife and I now have four Nomad 50's. They fold up small enough that they are easy to tuck in when we boondock or go to our off-grid cabin. We use three to keep our Yeti fully topped up, and one for our 12v. trailer battery maintainer. I like the rugged construction and the ability to stand them on the ground with the fold out legs, or hang them, or lay them on the windshield of our truck. Very versatile.

Works as advertised
Purchased the Nomad 50 in June 2023. Tested it out in the backyard before the trip to the mountains. I learned to keep my device being charged out of the direct sun as it over heated and stopped accepting the charge from the Nomad 50. Once in the mountains, with lessons learned, charging my phone and other items was a breeze. Tip: Make sure you have the correct adaptors/cords you will need to connect to your devices that you want to charge and that they accept the USB connection that comes with the Nomad 50 and test before you go.

Solar panels
I haven’t truly used it that much but it seems like it serves its purpose. I like the compactness of the product. And also the portability of it.

Nomad 50
It works great for me. Only bad thing is that I have duracell 500 power block and it took a while to find a connector that would fit the power block. Overall. I really like the Nomad 50. It's lightweight and easy to use. Maybe goal zero can make a connector for the duracell block 500.

Great portability, average efficiency
If you're comparing this to other products, like a Boulder 100, please realize that what you are paying (a lot) for is the portability. Otherwise, it appears to be a little less efficient than a boulder. I did a side-by-side (same angle, etc.) test using a Yeti 400... best I could do with the Nomad was about 27 Watt/hrs (54% of 50), whereas the Boulder was putting out 58 Watt/hrs (58% of 100). I know from experience that in ideal conditions I can get up to about 63 (63%) from the Boulder, but so far the best I can do with the Nomad is 29 (58%). So, great for portability, but a little less efficient than a Boulder.

Nice compact panel- largest panel GZ has with USB
Used to charge a Yeti 200x and a Yeti 500x on a recent trip- this is the largest foldable panel GZ has with a USB out if you want to charge a smaller power bank or something else- I plan on getting another to chain together to get 100W while still having USB capability.

Folds up so nice and does not take up much room. Kept my electronic "must haves"charged up.

Portable & Powerful
Perfect size for the weekend warrior. I bought this with my Yeti 500X and both are small enough I can take camping, to work, or wherever I need power. The Nomad is not bulky or too heavy which is good as you don't want it blowing away. I like that it is powerful enough to get a good charge on the Yeti and other UBS accessory and compacts to stick behind my truck seat. The other great feature is that it will chain with my Nomad 27and has the quality you'd expect from a Goal Zero product
