Awesome
This thing is awesome! Very quiet, cools down quickly and uses very little power - it’s in my basement in a controlled environment so field operations will likely vary. It’s BIG but I wanted the two separate environments. The insulating cover is very nicely made, great quality all around.

Alta 89
Not sure what to make of this fridge it’s a bit bulky for my truck and so far it’s the best one I’ve ever owned,I took out my passenger seat out and it fits very nicely keeps my frozen foood and the other side vary cold,so far I have not run my battery’s out yet but as precaution I sometimes turn it off not sure if it’s necessary but the food stays frozen and cold on the other side,I’m just loving this fridge and eventually I will get the 4000 for it,

Seems to last forever.
I have the Alta 80 powered to the 12v outlet in my jeep trailhawk and in my Yeti 3000 for a backup when if the jeep shuts off. It draws most of the power when the compressor is on (about 38 watts average), however, I’ve noticed when the fridge/freezer compartments have items in it, the compressor doesn’t kick on as much. Stays steady about 0 to 6 watts when the compressor is off. A frozen Yeti brand ice pack in both compartments tends to keep the compressor from turning on much more and I can re-freeze them in the freezer compartment. They’re small and don’t take up much volume, but they aren’t a necessity. Very big for my overlanding needs, however, I’m never short of food or drinks on the trail! An upgraded insulated cover split down the middle where you could still open each individual compartment without having to take off the top cover would be great. *Wink wink GZ 😉
