Why We Like The Index S2 Smart Scale

Whether you're training for a tri, making a commitment to getting healthy, or just working on getting ready for summer, Garmin's Index Smart Scale makes sticking to your plan a whole lot easier. The Index can recognize and remember up to 16 different users, and of course it can sync to Garmin Connect, the online platform that lets you track and analyze all your workout data, so you can see exactly how your workouts correspond to your goals.

Garmin Index Smart Scale

My only concern is when I lose weight (1-2 lbs) that my body fat goes up but my muscle mass goes down. Doesn't make sense to me if I'm continuing to vigorously exercise daily....

Consistent Weight Readings

Compared to other scales, the Index 2 provides consistent data and tracks many other metrics besides weight. Battery life has been good, however it is a bit of a pain connecting the scale to WiFi. Once connected it updates to the Garmin app rather well.

So easy it’s effortless

Great product. Easy to use and gives a graph of recent weigh ins right on the screen. Daily weather data as an added bonus.

Wow

This my second Garmin Smart Scale. Connection to WiFi has greatly improved, and so has the ability to add multiple users on the device. The data from the scale instantly connects to your Garmin Connect. And just like that all of your information is at your disposable. I highly recommend the scale if your concerned about your fitness and/or maintaining it.

Only good for weight

Just got this and was super excited but the body fat reading is way off. I didn't expect it to be perfect but it is pretty far off and that's really what I bought it for. The scale itself is spot on but with how far off the body fat is, the weight is the only reading I trust. For the price, I would pass.

Best scale ever!

I had a Fitbit scale before this one and Garmin is by far better than the Fitbit scale!!! The amount of information and accuracy is amazing!

So far so good

I haven't had a chance to explore what all the options are yet, but I do like seeing some of the trending data.

Slow to wake

I bought this to replace a competitor smart scale so I could have all my info in the connect app. I like this scale, but my only gripe is it just doesn’t turn on when you stand on it, unlike the competitors scale. With the garmin, you need to “tap” the surface, which basically means banging your foot on it until it wakes up. It’s ridiculous. I don’t understand why they couldn’t have it just wake up when you stand on it.
