Great battery life. Excellent workout tracking.
I’ve owned my epix pro for a month and have been very pleased with it. It works quite well recording workouts and outdoors. The watch does a very good job of measuring my workouts. And the Garmin Connect app does a very good job of organizing the data. It helps me to stay motivated to keep doing workouts. The watch also does a very good job outdoors. The multi day battery life is dramatically better than my Series 5 Apple watch. I no longer worry about the battery running out when measuring heart rate on a full day hike. The built-in GPS seems to be very accurate. I’m looking forward to taking it on multi day backpack outings and not having to recharge it. I originally purchased the non pro version of the epix Gen 2. On Youtube, a reviewer ‘The Quantified Scientist’ has posted very extensive test comparisons of heart rate accuracy of watches; Garmin, Apple and others. The non pro epix Gen 2 scored poorly. After seeing those test results, I returned the non pro version and purchased the pro.

GREAT MULTISPORT SMARTWATCH
I upgraded from my old Fenix 6 pro and I’m more than amazed with the features and great display. It is also very accurate and I couldn’t be happier. I made a great decision! :)

Band is short
I bought the 42 mm version because the others just looked huge on my wrist. After getting it home and taking out of the box, I realized that I’m on the second to the last notch on the band and it didn’t look good or feel good to be on the very end. in fairness, it does say that size is for those with smaller wrist, but I generally think that includes me. Apparently not. I was so frustrated by the fit that I may return it tomorrow I have had Garmin running watches in the past and thought they were very good. In this case, my intention was for some light hiking, swimming laps of the pool, and playing golf. I didn’t really get to the point where I was able to see those apps in working order.

Great watch,
The visibility is amazing and there are way more features than most mortals will ever need. Upgraded from an older Fenix that would not charge. Very nice that the bands work on both watches

Love it!
I upgraded from a forerunner 955, mainly for the bright screen and the scratch resistant screen (yes, the forerunner had several scratches after a year of daily use). I love the screen and the feature set. I have found the built-in LED flashlight to be incredibly handy to always have on-hand. So, why not 5-stars? The first, and main reason is that I would really appreciate the ability to take phone calls on my watch. Secondly, battery life with always on display isn't quite what I was hoping for, but with the always on display disabled it is good. Finally, and this is common among all Garmins, I would like better on-device music support -- for example YouTube music.

Love it.
I have the FR 965, as my primary focus is running. But I felt that although as a sports watch it is great, it it couldn’t dress up when not doing sports. The epix Pro 51mm gives me everything the 965 does and still looks like a nice watch on your wrist after the run. Paired with the leather watch band this watch looks rugged , with the coyote or ranger green nylon band and you have a military look. The battery is lasting me about 18 days( I play music from the watch on my runs, always on display). The only thing I would change is the Ui. The 965 has a “ newer “ look. The fonts and colors are more modern. Maybe they can fix that in an update. But even if not, I still would go epix pro over 965
