Why We Like The Adidas Terrex Free Hiking 2 Hiking Shoe
For that free feeling on the trail, we like the lightweight and comfortable Adidas Terrex Free Hiking 2. The soft, PRIMEKNIT collars have a sweet sock-lite fit around our ankles with the EVA support and BOOST midsoles spoiling our feet with plush cushioning for hiking trails, gravel, and forest service roads. On top of all that comfort, Adidas has scored some environmental points by crafting the shoe's uppers out of recycled polyester and Parley Ocean Plastic that removes plastic pollution from our oceans.

Very comfortable but not durable
They’re ripping apart and the tread is all the way gone in a year or so of use

Great shoe but runs a bit large.
It has laces that match. Does that qualify as “something more”?

Sole design not so great
Used to love terrex design, had a 420 but they are not in sale anymore so had to go with this. Anyhow, this shoe pushes your toes to the front and leaves a huge gap on the heels. Ankle support and heels are not aligned. So when you go uphill it’s all fine but on flat and downhill tracks you feel your toes pushed to the front with every step. Going a size up wouldn’t change this design mistake. Too late to return obviously, but won’t be thinking of adidas for my next hiking shoes.
