Why We Like The Adidas Terrex Swift R3 GTX Hiking Shoe
When we want to move swiftly up and down the trail, we lace up our Adidas Terrex Swift R3 GTX Hiking Shoes and hit the ground hiking. Made for speed, this hybrid combines elements of trail running shoes and hiking shoes to cater to fast hikers with light day packs. The GORE-TEX membrane keeps out water and mud while breathing away evaporated moisture when our feet heat up from hiking fast. Updated for 2023, the Swift now features a fresh look and recycled synthetic uppers as part of Adidas' "End Plastic Waste" initiative to make more responsible shoes.

Rugged and grippy but still feels pretty agile.
I read that these were “really stiff” but that wasn’t my experience. Feet felt fine, able to flex. First use was comfortable, no blisters.

Worth the money
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Waterproof is great along with the tread on the bottom. They help me keep up with my dog on our walks.

Waste of money
I loved these shoes at first, but then after 2 months of light use the waterproofing wore off. Wasn't doing anything crazy. Just walking through damp grass, but now my socks get soaked. They're totally useless now for what I got them for. Do not buy!

My Third Pair of Terrex. Not my last.
I bought these in a 10.5 which is a .5 size up from my SkyChasers, but the same size as my FreeHikers. I'd like to wear all the same size but, oh well. The lacing is odd, at the top. There are two holes and they come laced into both. Extra support I suppose but the laces overlap and yes it's as secure as it can get but it's a bit difficult to tighten. I kept pulling the wrong two. I also found that these are just as safe on the trails if I use one set of the holes and it's also a more traditional lacing making things easier in the early morning light. OK, these are most definitely waterproof. No doubt. I hose off after every hike so I can wear them in the house to take them off. They are firm but flex easily enough for 30-degree slopes. The heel design makes coming back down easy as well. I needed something for warmer days and these are low enough for that. The grip on just about anything but ice or slimy rocks is incredible. I'm older and need maximum traction hiking with two 60 lb hunting dogs on leash. My trails are a mix of worn trails from use and clearing. It's shale, roots, and everything else in between. No real boulders but some foot-sized exposed rock serves as my test ground. Like I said, these are my third pair of Adidas Terrex footwear. For me, I won't wear anything else. They are pretty indestructible if they can last my large butt on trails, gravel/paved driveways. Order a half size up though, and give them a chance. These are serious shoes for serious shoe wearers. I would recommend them to anyone. 100% satisfied. Oh, and I caught a crazy sale so.....

I wish this was a good experience but it isn't.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have many Adidas shoes and sneakers. For some reason, this shoe, which I thought would be comfortable for hiking is not comfortable at all. It's bulky and there is a sensation that I feel like I am rocking backwards which is not comfortable.

Love the style, it’s a winner 🏆
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve never worn a pair of hiking shoes before so I didn’t know what to expect but they’ve been great so far. Wearing this pair to work and it’s light weight, comfortable for the most parts and it’s true to size. It’s safe to say I love ‘em. My only regret is not buying 2 pairs when I purchased.
