Why We Like The Red Wing Heritage Chukka Boot
The Red Wing Heritage Chukka Boot is a solid style originally made for those who worked indoors on heavy machinery and assembly lines. Their rugged leather upper will only ripen over time and is supported by triple-stitched seams for better longevity. Their softer Atlas tread sole was originally designed for work that required a lot of bending and lifting but will suit today's more casual boot wearers' style.

Piggy back on “lasted 6 months” review
Have had two pair of 3141 and one pair 3137 and material at the toe is a weak link. Cobbler did use a different sole on one of the 3141s when resoling that held up so much better. Will end up needing to resole my current 3141 and 3137 prematurely, making the cost to own these quite a bit more than it should be IMHO.

Lasted 6 months
I’ve always been a red wing guy and usually have great luck with their boots. I bought these 6 months ago and the left toe is already completely destroyed. I’m not even sure what happened, I’m assuming I tripped or hit my toe on a curb or something but the cheap toe material basically ripped off and I have no idea when or how. I expected a lot more from a shoe of this price. It’s a great looking shoe so it’s really unfortunate that the quality didn’t hold up.

Not what I’m used to getting from Red Wing
I purchased this chukka a few times to try different sizes and widths. Obviously I picked the size that fit. I’m just over two weeks in and my left heel still gets sore like the shoes aren’t broken in. This never happened with my blacksmiths. The difference in construction between the left and the right is noticeable in a couple ways. I can tie the left shoe easily with plenty of shoe lace to use but the right shoe doesn’t give the same amount of room. This is a wide size and the left shoe is definitely roomier than the right which may explain this lacing issue. It just feels weird having one shoe fit so different than the other and I am used to enjoying Red Wings but I’m not sure about these. Hopefully the issue will resolve itself in time.

Great boot
I have 2 pair of these. One Sunday got to meeting pair another for everything else. Had the old pair about 15 years. I recommend these highly. Had them resoled and this made the old pair look vintage! Buy this boot!

Love them!
I spend a lot of time on my feet at work, with weather warming up this are the perfect pair of boots. Comfortable out of the box and short break in period compared to my other red wings I own. Only downfall is I feel the laces are a bit short, but those can easily be replaced! Another successful purchase in my book.

Best work boots I've ever owned. Made in the US.
These have held up well after a year of daily abuse. The soles could probably use a replace and I have a couple stitches that need attention, but I'm confident if I take care of these, I'll have them for life. Break in was a nightmare for me personally, but once I broke em, they are as comfy as slippers. Nice bonus, I get lots of compliments on them.

Bought these beautiful boots a month ago and like all the redwings I’ve bought I have no regrets always satisfied with redwings these are very comfortable and the Leather looks great conditions very well easy to put on and take off before break in wouldn’t change anything about it

Substantial Shoes
Bought these November 2023- it’s now almost March 2023 and they are getting semi- broken in. I’ve used half a tub of the leather cream and I’ve got to say these are some fine boots. They work for business casual or out in the dirt. These things are so well built I fully expect them to last 20 years minimum. Substantial they are!

Another beautiful pair of red wings
The closest thing Red Wing has to a "shoe" at the moment. Decided to give them a shot. Fit is true to size (so, half a size up from my iron rangers) but they are a tad narrow. If they came in E3 I would at least try them on. E2 seems like they'll be OK though. Folks you need to properly size your shoes. Yes they are very stiff and need breaking in but I can easily tolerate a full day in them with out blisters, bleeding or pain. If they are so bad you can't wear them you need a different size. Traditional leather footbed so don't expect cushy comfort right out of the box. The wedge outsole is also harder than I expected. They'll be firm at first. No complaints with comfort though, this is expected from their traditional, rugged construction. I simply love the look of them. They have a unique cut and last shape. The briar leather is gorgeous as well. Thanks RW for another great shoe. I expect they'll last for years and years, and I hope you release some shoes (not boots) in the future. Maybe oxfords. You've got a customer for life if you keep making them this way.
