Crowley Jacket

Work doesn't just disappear when the weather's threatening to turn sour. You're gonna be out there rain or shine, so you might as well give yourself some rugged resistance to the weather with the Carhartt Crowley Jacket. This abrasion-resistant softshell has a Rain Defender finish to repel raindrops when your work has you caught in inclement weather, and a soft polyester backing to give you a little added comfort on chilly mornings. It's also got Wind Fighter technology to block gusty winds, and a Rugged Flex design to help you move how you need to when you've gotta get the job done. There are adjustments at the hem and cuffs to further seal out the weather, as well as a few easy storage pockets, including one large internal document pocket for site maps and field notes.

Removable Hoodie

I am not much for hoodies but I love this rain coat. It would be even better it it had a removable hoodie. I drive a parts truck so I am in and out of it alot. Haviing a removeable hoodie while loading it in the rain 2ould be a sure plus.

Quality you don't see much of anymore.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Quality build. Looks great, nice fit. It's a great shoulder season jacket (late winter/early spring, late fall/early winter). Very windproof.

A+ for Rain Defender Jacket

I love this jacket! It's warm, it repels rain and is great in windy conditions. It's sharp looking and I wear it with confidence. A very well built jacket that is worth buying.

Sleeve inner fabric is too "grippy"

While the jacket is nice and fits well, a repeated gripe I have with all the Carhartt jackets (including this one) I have worn is the inner sleeve fabric. It grabs the fabric of long sleeve shirts and pulls it up. Even if I grip the cuff and keep it from pulling up, while I am wearing the jacket, the friction pulls and twists the shirt sleeve. I'll admit, it probably feels nice if wearing short sleeve shirt to have a warm fleece-like feel instantly when you put the jacket on, but quite frankly, I would take the short term cold of a slippery inner jacket sleeve over the death grip of whatever you're putting inside the jacket sleeves.

Tight sleeves

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sleeves are too tight which makes the jacket difficult to put on and take off

Classy durable mid-weight jacket, perfect for spring and fall.

Great jacket! Love the heavy weight feel of this fall / spring jacket and the soft lining for improved warmth. Outside shell of the jacket is stiff giving it a crisp look that you can wear out to a restaurant or to an office job. Feels very durable, which is why I buy Carhartt. Was pleased to see how rain beads up and sheds off jacket. Lastly, liked the ample pockets, both outside and inside the jacket. Would definitely recommend.

Best rain jacket, keeping you dry and looking good!

EXCELLENT rain jacket. High quality, durable construction, and my goto for rainy days. It really holds up to any wet weather and keeps you dry. It's also perfect for layering - whether going to a watch a game with friends casual, to dressing up underneath for a nicer dinner or night on the town.

Great coat except the inside of the sleeves.

Let me start with saying, this is a great coat. Well thought out as far as the tall collar to the pockets and the fit. This is great as a windstopper as well. The only problem I have, which is why I gave the 4 stars, is the inside of the sleeves are fleece. Layered jackets are hard to get through the sleeve especially with a bum shoulder. If the sleeves were a smooth material it would be my go to jacket..

Hand opening small, otherwise perfect!

I freaking LOVE this coat. I would totally give 5 stars but Carhartt doesn't seem to understand XXL on either this coat or their gloves. The size is great, the opening for the hand? Not so much. I REALLY have to struggle getting my hands out. In is a BIT of a struggle. I cannot even get my hands into Carhartt XXL gloves but all the other brands I can. I don't mind so much with this jacket because once I squeeze my hand into it, I don't want to take it off. It was EXACTLY what I was looking for (minus the hand opening). But if anybody at Carhartt reads this review, PLEASE fix your hand opening in XXL. I would seriously start wearing a lot more Carhartt!
