I can't believe nobody else mentioned how badly these shed. The fleece lining came off all over my legs (even after washing). Every color did this. I didn't like the high rise on these (which made the crotch very low). Just didnt' work for me. Had to return.

Maybe I have a weird body type but I'm 5ft, 115lbs, 25or26in waist and these fit like every other size 4 or xs that doesn't vanity size. It's not anywhere near "sausage casing" fit. It's not the fit that runs small, it's the cut of the pant and inseam that is a little weird. The pants are what I consider to be high to very high waisted. The back country logo is in a goofy place tbh and sort of looks stupid. I don't think they are worth the price of 99. The fabric is great and quality is there but the cut kills it for most. The material is good and they are super comfortable. Really like the pockets. I will be keeping them and hoping BC does a redesign in a mid or lowrise cut.

These were purchased for my wife and her review is below: Love these pants. They are very comfortable, more comfortable then legging type pants. I don’t like to be cold so I like to wear them even in 60 degree weather. I got the pants in the black and the riptide colors. The fleece lining of the riptide pants tend to shed but the black in the black. If your in between sizes, I would recommend sizing up.

If you can get these pants on, they seem like they'd be great for hiking. But unfortunately, as several other reviewers have mentioned, that's a near impossible task. These do run a tad small, but the real issue here is that there is almost no stretch to the waistband and the seams around the waist and hips have zero stretch. I've never seen that in pull on pants before - since you have to accommodate going over the hips. I have a small frame and almost no hips or butt to speak of, but with how I struggled to get these over my hips, you'd think I was a Kardashian. I'm not really sure sizing up would help, the waist would then be way too big. I'm just baffled at the construction of these pants.

I found these pants to be warm and comfortable, have worn running and even skiing on a warm ish day. The waist was a little tight at first but stretched with wear.

The waist could use a little more elastic, but overall these pants are great. Keeps you warm and I love the material.

Waist has no give, costly return

I was so excited to try the pants as it was rated highly in some travel blogs. However, I am disappointed not only at the shape of the pants but also the material. Clearly, the size of the waist does not align with the hips and thighs. It's super hard to pull over your hips. I ended up returning it, but it was very costly. They deduct original shipping fee + return shipping fee + tax ~ $15! Never again!

I wish I had read the reviews before ordering them for my daughter for Christmas. I think they would have fit if she could have gotten them past her hips, but the waist had no give. I think the design has a flaw in it.

I ordered a size small and always wear small and they fit well. But need to wiggle them up my hips, then good on my waist. But I do like them.
