Why We Like The HOKA Gaviota 5 Wide Shoe
For stability and a wide fit that doesn't feel like a brick underfoot, we lace into the Gaviota 5 Wide Shoe. HOKA's new H-Frame technology utilizes soft foams to guide our stride, ensuring our arch doesn't collapse and our foot doesn't roll outward for happy joints through every mile. The use of soft foams keeps weight down and flexibility up, so our feet feel light rather than burdened, while the midsole's generous stack of EVA foam pads the road for optimal comfort.

Game Changer
Best sneaker I ever owned. I felt the difference immediately from my prior high end sneaker. I speed walk about 24 miles a week on pavement with no foot or back pain......finally!!!!! Thanks HOKA team....

Unlucky or poor durability?
I use these shoes as my everyday/work shoes in the hotel service industry. My podiatrist recommended for the combined comfort and support from this show, and my initial impressions were fantastic. I was looking forward to getting a second pair to alternate between the two. However, my first pair had the heel cushion bunch up towards the top, making the shoe not feel secure while wearing. This happened within a week. I exchanged them, hoping it was a fluke. This second pair has now developed the issue after a month. Here's hoping the third time is the charm...

If you have a narrow foot
The shoe is up to the quality expected by the brand. I read that there was some more stability control than the bondi , so I hoped it would fit better because the Bondy is too wide in the tow box and my foot slips around. Unfortunately, the shoe also is wide the toebox and there's no increased stability for a narrow foot. Stick with the narrow shoes if you have a narrow foot.

Does not come in a Size 13 Narrow
The toe box is too wide for my foot but it appears that you don't offer narrow sizes

Uncomfortable
I have black and blue sores on side of my feet and toes plus a terrible pain on bottom of my left foot. I would not recommend these at all. I would like a refund for my purchase.

These shoes are AMAZING!!!
I had an issue earlier in like that my foot was crushed in a care accident. My left foot can have unbelievable pain at any given time. I also walk with my left foot turned out, which makes me have a slight limp. I cannot believe how these shoes have helped me. I still have some pain but nowhere even close. Not only that but when I wear these both feet are now straight. Not off to the side. This is my first pair but it will not be last. I truly thank the makers of Hoka for helping me. Also the employee at the Gingerbread Man store, who immediately knew what shoe to give me just by witnessing me walk. I really appreciate both of you. P.s. now all you gotta do is make hiking boots.

FINALLY a more comfortable shoe: Gaviotas 5 Regular
I've worn Gaviotas 3 and 4 and was unhappy as as a prisoner in narrow shoes! I dont have a wide foot, Im somewhere in between I suppose. I wear a size 13, but because my left foot is a little longer than the right, I should be a 13 1/2. But they dont make that size. And size 14 would too big. Now with the Gaviota 5 Regular, not wide, toes on my left foot have more space to move. I can now walk/run without pain on my left foot/big toe. FINALLY HAPPY!

Comfortable shoe with some caveats
I have been wearing Hokas for many years now. As a daily runner, Hokas have always been my go to for the cushion, support, and comfort. However, the last two pairs that I have received have had some issues with the feel on the interior of my feet. It feels as if the fit has changed slightly as to cause pain on the interior arch of my foot. Hopefully this gets sorted out at some point. Given these issues, I haven't been able to find a better shoe for my needs.

Great shoes but TERRIBLE web shopping experience.
I love the way these shoes look and feel but the next time I will NOT buy them directly from the Hoka site. Originally bought a 10.5 because was told they run wide and they were too narrow. I returned the 10.5 and purchased a 10.5 wide instead. I used the Hoka provided Pitney Bowes label for the return and nearly three weeks later I still have not received a refund because Pitney Bowes apparently lost the return. Thank goodness I have all the tracking and delivery information. Long story short, great shoes but I'd recommend buying in a store and not on the websit.
